RLM 02 (RLM Grau) is a German Luftwaffe aircraft color, a medium, warm grey-green, initially a primer/interior color used extensively from 1933 until the war shifted to RLM 66 (dark grey) for cockpits around 1941, but continued on exteriors (with RLM 70/71) and in wheel wells, a standard for prototypes, trainers, and early war schemes, crucial for modelers seeking historical accuracy in WWII German aircraft.

RLM 22 – Schwarz (Black) was a Luftwaffe color used primarily for identification codes, and tactical markings. It was also utilized with RLM 21 – Weiss (White) for spinners and national markings,(Balkenkruez & Hackenkreuz). Some night fighter units utilized RLM 22 – Schwarz for the underside color. This can be seen in photographs of some Heinkel He-219 Night Fighters.

RLM 21 – Weiss (White) was a Luftwaffe color used primarily for identification codes, and tactical markings. It was also utilized with RLM 22 – Schwarz (Black) for spinners and national markings,(Balkenkruez & Hackenkreuz). During winter campaigns it was used for field-applied winter camouflage on upper surfaces. It was used, along with other RLM Colors for painting ‘Reichsverteidigung’ (Defence of the Reich) fuselage tail bands identifying fighter groups.
